My New Project

So I had a semi good day today. I went to the doctors for my anual papsmear and then went grocery shopping and then I came home. I cooked dinner!!! yay go me lol. but i cooked spaghetti and meatballs. It was awesome so hopefully the hubby likes it as well. I also started my project for my bathroom assessories. I started to crochet the toilet top cover first. Below are pictures of it.

This is the picture of it matching with my shower curtain. I went on ahead and kept the teal color because the green just didnt go right.

Here is a close up of the cover itself. Not to much going on with the colors but still very cute. I love the way it came out and it only took me a couple of hours to make.

Here is another shot of the toilet and the cover and the basket of bath and body stuff sitting on top of it. Doesnt it just make the toilet look so much better? Its not so plain looking.

Well Im off to start something else....maybe the cup covers??? or tissue holder?? idk we'll see what i decide to come up with next....oh wow my daughter just spilled red hawaiian punch all over the carpet!!! yay more mess for me to clean up. brb.....

Ok im back now cleaned up the mess with no stain yay im good but anyway im about to go eat some cheesecake that i made with some milk and im gonna go smoke a cigarette and get back to crocheting!!! wtyl (just made that up cuz im not actually talking im writing so i put w for write instead of t for talk lol).

My New WIPS

So as i mentioned below i had to choose some yarn for the bathroom set i am going to crochet and these are the colors i found that would match the rugs and the shower curtain. I got some burgandy and cream colored yarn and a teal type of color. However i dont really think the teal is going to go to well so i might change the teal to a green like a lime green or so. I will keep it posted on how things are going but as for right now i am going to watch the movie Quarentine seeming how i love to watch movies and crochet. Especially horror films. So whatever i get done with tonight i will surely post. Oh and by the way raquel is wide awake so she is going to be keeping me company for the night until i get tired and call it a night. Well wish me luck. by for now.

So like i just mentioned below im adding crocheted complimentaries to my bathroom. This is my bathroom mat. I dnt really like it cuz its kinda dingy from years of use but i had to find colors of yarn that would compliment the mat and the shower curtain and i looked in my yarn stash and found some perfect colors.

Ok so this is the color of my bathroom shower curtain. Its like a burgandy color. I kinda like although im more of the bright colors type of gal. But anyway one of my WIPs is a new complimentary bath set. Im talking like toilet seat cover, toilet tissue holders, toothbrush and rinse cup covers, and a few towels and covers for the counters and maybe a few bags to hold things in. Sounds like a plan?

My Hiddeous Babette

So this is what I meant by my blanket didnt turn out right...as u can see things didnt match up correctly and for some odd reason the middle of my squares looked like they were circles. idk but i hated the way it started to turn out so im starting over. and im not making a babette anymore im just going to make one entirely large granny square. oh and im also working on another few projects for around my home.

No More Babette...Im Pissed

Ok so last time I wrote which was like yesterday or the day before...i dont remember but any who i had started on that Babette blanket. And for some odd reason or another the blanket didnt turn out the way it was supposed to. Well the little section that I did. When I sewed the pieces together they didnt fit together right and I have absolutely no idea why and I was really pissed lol. But whatever so now i dnt know what im going to start making and i was thinking about another blanket just not a babette but shit idk. And then I also wanted some crochet Items for my kitchen and bathroom as well so idk how thats going to turn out.

I was also very mad today because i called my school to see if my financial aid was showing up in the bookstore computer and for some reason it isnt so i cant get my books or school supplies. wut a bumber. so i guess i just have to keep trying and hope it shows up before school starts. Hopefully we dont have another one of last semesters again where absolutely NOBODY had books or their financial aid wasnt showing up!!! so yea. I have 2 books already for previous classes that im taking again this semester so i guess i could get started on reading those now but i am such a procrastinator i just dont wanna do work right now. all i want to do is crochet hahahahha. i know its funny but thats what happens when u live by crochet lol. i cant wait for my daughter to get older cuz as soon as i see she can learn to do it im going to teach her. and then i will have a little crocheting partner. im also going to try and teach my friend ashley how to crochet so she can crochet with me also u kno... well raquel is crying right about now so im going to get her settled and then come back and post some more of whats on my mind and ideas i have in store. ttyl.

Back At It Again....Started On My Babette!!!

These are pics of some of the crocheted granny squares that i started on for the Babette blanket. I love how the colors go together so well and they are really bright.

I finally got past the stage of deciding wut colors i wanted to use. I added more colors than i originally planned to use. These are the colors i wanted to use.

The Babette Blanket Inspired Me

I kno its been a while since ive been on here. I was so busy with the finals at school and all the projects i had going on i totally forgot about my precious blog. but i promise i will be updating almost daily now.

So i was looking around on http://www.flickr.com/ for inspiration on some things i could crochet or different types of yarns or colors and i came across a blanket by the name of Babette. Here is a picture of the blanket that inspired me and convinced me to make one of my own the most:

I absolutely loved the colors of it although it was a tad bit to summery lol. But anyway so i started googling the Babette blanket and realized that it was an actual pattern posted in a crochet magazine. Now i dont really buy crochet books or magazines. I pretty much come up with my own patterns and make up my own things by getting inspiration off of others pictures. So little ol' me starts to think....hmmm all this blanket is is a bunch of granny squares. Why not make my own design and call it my own type of blanket? Sounds good dont it? So thats exactly what i decided to do.

Now what i failed to realize with starting this project is for one it would take a while to decide what colors i wanted to make the Babette. So i chose to use caron simply soft yarn and the colors bright green, bright purple, regular purple, light purple, hot pink, white, and blue.

The Cutest Sweater Yet

This is the new original sweater i crocheted for raquel. I finished this sweater in an entire day. I will be coming out with the pattern asap. I love the color i used to crochet it with. And i just freehanded it and it turned out perfect.

This is the front of the sweater. I think this is the best one ive made yet. Im gonna be sure to make more in all kinds of sizes. Im so glad it turned out to fit her perfect...I will be sure to update with more pictures.

This is a picture of my daughter raquel wearing the yellow and blue outfit i crocheted. it looked so cute on her that i had to get a pic of her wearing it.

This is the shirt that goes with the yellow pants...kinda plain jane but i will spruce it up sometime soon with some flowers. And i will also be crocheting a half sweater the same color as the pants.

So this is a picture of the outfit i crocheted for raquel...i finished the yellow pants a few months ago and i just got finished with the shirt to match the pants. next will be a matching sweater to go with the pants.

Just Need To Decorate

Well I just crocheted another pair of pants for my daughter raquel...this will be her second pair. I decided that instead of going out and buying her some more pants it would just be cheaper and a lot cuter for me to crochet her some. They ended up fitting her just perfect and I gave her enuff room to grow in them...I think they are just adorable. I didnt write a pattern for these because like the last pair i just freestyled them. The pictures above are of her wearing them. I just have to decorate them with some cute flowers which by the way i will be posting pictures of them completely finished and i have to create a matching top. Im not sure if i will use an existing pattern or create my own. who knows.

Not Working On anything

well i bought a sewing machine from salvation army!!! which by the way was only $10!!! ya and it was a sears kenmore brand. its an old version but it works perfect. i started making things for my daughters room already!!! i mad her a canopy for her crib and made her a whole new cribset...care bear of course...it used to be winnie the pooh but i didnt want it that anymore. so yea and ive started up school again so unfortunately that means not enough time for crocheting at the moment. im so upset because i love to crochet but oh well...i will find time for it...i was just updating my blog since i havent been on in a while...my step mother in law wanted me to make my cousin n law a crocheted winter coat...so thats one of my WIP and im also going to start making clothing for my daughter also...because it will start to get cold very soon and she needs pants and shirts...nice to be able to make her things...the only problem is it takes forever and a day to complete them. im just so busy lately...with school and all and studying and taking care of raquel i just dont have time for fun anymore...well i will go finish studying...ttyl

My Second Original Crocheted Outfit for my daughter

I decided to make a different version of the other top i created myself and made one for my daughter. I also made some cute bellbottom pants to match it also. here are pictures of the outfit. Oh and it also has a matching bracelet.

This is my first official original pattern. The shorts are a pattern from the blogsite momma wear and its called pretty little girl shorts.

2 skeins=1 light pink, 1 dark pink of caron simply soft yarn

Body of Tank Top

row 1: (dc,ch 1,dc) in fifth ch from hook (v- stitch made). *skip next 2 chs, work v-st in next chain; repeat from *across to last 2 chs, dc in last ch, ch 3, turn.

row 2: work v-st in each ch 1 space across, dc in top of beginning ch. change colors to light pink. ch 3, turn

row 3: repeat row 2

rows 4-14: repeat row 2; changing back to dark pink, ch 1, turn.

row15: *sc in next st, ch 1 skip next st, sc in next st; repeat from * to last st, sc in last sc. ch 1, turn.

This is a Layette I crocheted for my daughter also. She can still fit it and i will get a picture of her wearing it whenever she wants to cooperate with me lol.

This is a dress i started for my daughter also and never finished it. lol. i probably should get back on it.

This is a starghan i started for my daughter when she was first born as well and as u can see i didnt get very far on this one either. I guess u can say i wasnt very motivated.
This is the first blanket i ever crocheted for my daughter. It was made with a lot of love and very girly. Its funny how this blanket came about actually. I was looking at a pattern for another blanket and messed up the pattern. So i kinda edited it myself and made it into my own shells blanket. I used Caron simply soft yarns; pink, cream, and purple. That brand is actually my favorite brand to use. It is so soft and very cheap. Well anyway, this is how it came out and my daughter loves it.

These are pictures of a baby pinafore i crocheted off a pattern i created on my own. i will later post the pattern for those who would like to use it. To make the dress prettier i sewed some ruffled edging on the bottom of the dress and i also weaved some ribbon through the bottom above the yellow stripe and tied it in a bow. i sewed buttons on the back. I think it is just lovely and this is one of my greatest creations yet. I am working on a headband to match the pinafore.

This is the first outfit I made for my daughter before she was born. She got to wear it once before she grew out of it. I thought it was so cute.
